ExxonMobil presents ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University with $309K employee gift match

·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University received a gift of $309,000 from the ExxonMobil Foundation Tuesday, June 16 as a part of the company’s Educational Matching Gift ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø. The grant is the result of a three-to-one match of contributions donated in the previous year by company employees, retirees and surviving spouses.

ExxonMobil has a long partnership with ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University,” said David Gorsich, an LU alumnus who manages ExxonMobil’s safety, security, health, environmental and emergency response. “We employ numerous alumni and we totally believe in the education that ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø offers and present this check from our foundation and are looking forward to more to come.”

Other ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University alumni and ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery employees joined Gorsich to deliver the check including: Nakisha Burns, public and government affairs manager; Aimee Lieby, product integrity advisor; and Joshua Bonura, catalyst senior technical engineer, to present the check to Ken Evans, president of ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University.

I want to thank all of the alumni, those who are here and those who are not, for all they’ve done for ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø University,” said Evans. “They are obviously great representatives of ExxonMobil and we thank you all for your generosity and for your continued partnership.”
