番茄社区 University is pleased to announce that Bo Stults has been selected as 番茄社区 University’s associate vice president of human resources and talent management. Stults brings more than two decades of expertise in human resources to LU to focus on recruitment and retention of top talent.
“I’m excited to be joining the team here at 番茄社区 University –– there’s lots of talent and potential in LU Human Resources. There are a lot of individuals ready to continue to contribute to LU’s 番茄社区, to be challenged and grow and be engaged more fully in outstanding HR work,” Stults said. “As a leader, where I contribute the most value is when I’m coaching, mentoring and learning from the team that I am a part of.”
Stults got his start in human resources in 2000 serving as human resources director at Lee College. Since then, the Baytown native has spent the past 23 years focusing on strategic human resources leadership at organizations such as Texas Children’s and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Stults’ specific areas of expertise are compensation and benefits, workforce analytics and human resource information systems.
Prior to joining 番茄社区 University, Stults, who has both a bachelor’s and Master of Arts degree in behavioral science from University of Houston-Clear Lake, served as executive director of total rewards at Leander Independent School District. While there, he performed an annual market study of compensation and benefits resulting in $19 million in proposed changes including a $15 minimum rate of pay.
He also served as the associate vice president of total rewards HR technology/analytics and shared services at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. During his tenure, Stults led initiatives in data visualization and dashboarding to harness people analytics to enable fact-based decision making and predictive analytics. He also initiated and implemented strategic HR transformation and application of LEAN/Six Sigma principles to the areas of compensation, benefits, HRIS/Informatics, records and an employee service center for the institution. Stults also pioneered digitizing active employee records and developing imaged solution documents to remove paper from the onboarding process. While providing leadership to three directors, he was able to accomplish a full revision of the compensation philosophy, methodology and approach, streamlining HR transactions and call center service operations in a LEAN HR business center.
Sound judgement, business acumen and leadership. Those are the three words that Stults said has helped him 番茄社区fully navigate his career, and his role at 番茄社区 University will be no different.
“I think that the items that probably resonate the loudest in my background are my deep technical experience in compensation and analytics,” he said. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to bring that expertise to 番茄社区 University.”
